Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Arrange asparagus in a single layer in a shallow baking pan.
Brush oil over asparagus spears with a pastry brush.
Roast 8 to 10 minutes or until tender, but still crisp.
Place asparagus spears on serving platter. Sprinkle with cheese. Serve with lemon wedges.

This is really good if you have a tendency to end up with mushy asparagus.

I always used to steam my asparagus, but I like the roasted crispiness and the tiny bit of grilled taste, plus I liked the use of olive oil rather than butter and the extra spritz of lemon. Never thought of that, but it tasted great!
